The Defense of the Faith is a seminal work by Cornelius Van Til, who taught for forty-five years at Westminster Theological Seminary. Earlier editions omitted many sections due to the book’s use of philosophical terminology and dialogues with Van Til’s lesser-known critics. The revised fourth edition restores the complete original text, accompanied by explanatory notes, a new foreword, and commentary by Professor K. Scott Oliphint. This edition offers readers a clear understanding of Van Til’s consistent method of Christian apologetics and provides valuable insight for applying it in today’s world.
