Originally published in 1993 and long used as a core textbook on missiology in Korean churches and seminaries, A History of World Missions has now been newly edited and expanded by Dr. Byun Chang-uk. Since the original edition was last published in 1982, outdated statistics have been updated to reflect current realities, and portions of the content have been revised to incorporate recent developments in global missions. Chapters 10–14 have been newly written by the editor, addressing key topics such as the 1910 Edinburgh Missionary Conference and the history of missions in Asia. Through this revised and expanded edition, readers will gain a deeper understanding of God’s dynamic work throughout 2,000 years of Christian mission history, as well as clear insight into its future direction. For those seeking a reliable overview and concise summary of the history of Christian missions, this book is an essential resource.
